Raymond Scottwalker is the solo project of Nickolas Sullivan
(Yolke, Call Me Professor) which melds free-flowing, aquatic- tinged
beats, modular synth improvisation, chopped ambience and live
programming mastery. Raymond Scott is obviously an influence, but so
is J Dilla, Autechre, Morricone, Malian griots of the 80s and Vale Tudo
violence it seems. Beautifully weird and head-nodding.
